• 5003 (from beginning in 2006) and additional 5010 (in 2009, implemented in Release 5, P/N 8440-1922 and higher partnumbers) is a protocol that the classic (old) easYgen-3x00 models used.
• Introducing  easYgen-3x00XT models we have to introduce a new 5016 protocol, to cover also the new additional values/features/states.

The easYgen-3000XT is still backward-compatible to the "classic" easYgen-3x00 models (2006-2016). So new XT  still provide the old protocols in the new 3000XT models which make conversion from old to new easYgen more simple.

You need to select by parameter 3184 in the easYgen, which protocol the easYgen shall work with , or which you want to use.

By default setting it is set to  <<5010>>, just because of the backward-compatibility.

If your application has only new 3000XT models, then you should prefer to use...

=> 5016
