8445-1048 (EKS CAN to fiber converter) has changed hardware revision and is no longer compatible with older versions. If the customer wants to expand the current application, made up to 2023, he needs to replace all units to the newer version V3. NEW EKS P/N 01000-8273-V3

Info from supplier:

You cannot change the firmware of our DL-CAN-R converters.

Moreover V2 may have a different hardware.

The older V2 devices do have a part no. starting with 0100075xx and the new V3 has 0100082xx.

Those versions use a different mechanism for redundancy and are not compatible.
